Rosehill sports and exercise clinic

The clinic aims to provide a comprehensive service dealing with all aspects of the various medical problems that can arise relating to sport and exercise.

We offer advice and treatment for a wide range of musculo-skeletal problems.  Our physiotherapists, Janet Makin and Meg Gilbert, are very experienced and are familiar with dealing with all aspects of managing joint, muscle and soft tissue problems.  There are facilities for active rehabilitation in a newly equipped mini-gym.

We also offer medical examinations and general health advice specifically for sport and exercise participation.

Our doctor, Brian Blacklidge, is a keen sportsman himself (still an active triathlete), and has more than 20 years experience as a GP.  He has developed his interest in sports and exercise medicine by undertaking a recognised postgraduate course of training based at Bath University.  He is currently working towards a MSc in this subject.

Patients registered with the Practice who wish to use this facility should make an appointment to see Dr Blacklidge during normal surgery hours for an initial assessment.

For patients not registered with the Practice clinics are held from 6 - 8.00pm on Monday and Thursday evenings.
Appointments outside these times can also be arranged if
required.

The clinic is staffed by

Dr B Blacklidge MB BS, DRCOG, MRCGP
Mrs J Makin  Grad Dip Phys, MSCP, SRP
Mrs M Gilbert BSc, Grad Dip Phys, MSCP, SRP
