Recover Rollers

Roller bodies and covered rollers should always be packed in wooden cases and securely held to prevent any part of the rubber coming into contact with any part of the case.

Rollers should be lifted by slings attached to the journals and kept clear of the rubber covering. Where this is impractical, wide slings can be used. Rolls should never be lifted by a single sling. Care should be taken to avoid damage to the journals.

Rollers not required for immedate use should be stored horizontally so that the rubber covering is not touching the floor or any other surface. Rollers should be rotated through 180 degrees once a month to counteract any tendency to set.
